Hawaiian Courses
Welcome to the Hawaiian Islands. Learn cultural dances from the islands of Hawai’i, styles of both Hula Kahiko and Hula Auana. Students will learn cultural information about Hawai’i, and the spirit of aloha through the dance.

Choose the course and level you wish to enroll in. Videos are pre-recorded and released weekly so you can complete course at your own pace.

Level 1

This is the introductory level. Tailored for students who have little to no experience in pasifika style dance.

Level 2

This level is for students who have some knowledge in pasifika style dancing or who have completed level 1 in previous terms.

Level 3

This skill level is reserved for people who have danced in this style before or who have completed level 2 in term 3.

Hawaiian Hula

Students will learn basic Hula steps, warm up movements, and two hula Auana dances

Level 1

 

Level one- Introduction to Hawaiian basic steps and Hula Auana taught by Jason Paulo

Students will learn basic Hula steps, warm up movements, and two hula Auana dances

 

Level 2

 

 

HAWAIIAN Level two – This level is an extension of level one course, students will learn 2 Auana style Hula choreography, meaning of the dances, cultural knowledge which includes geography, traditional costumes, food, traditional items and iconic and people.

 

Level 3

 

HAWAIIAN Level three – Is for students with Hula experience or who have completed level two and wanting to brush up on Hula skills, or to learn choreography and cultural knowledge. Level three students will learn a Hula Kahiko style and chant.
